September Meeting Recap

Meeting Date: September 15th, 2014

This month's meeting had only a few voting items, but there were some important updates for the community.  All documents and a video of the meeting are available using the resource links below.  


John Sanville reiterated that the next step in the process is to conduct a study and to evaluate the situation based on future projections.  No decisions can be made until the facts are put forward and we will be working with a consultant to gather the facts.  

The study will be conducted by an outside firm with expertise in this area.  Two firms have provided information to the Administration and will be interviewed this week.

The Administration has asked the Board to be prepared to vote on selecting a firm at the next working session.

Members of the community have begun asking questions and we are responding to them and posting the answers online.  A new webpage has been created with various public resources, including a FAQ page.  


The board is conducting a comprehensive review of all policies and an additional Board meeting has been scheduled to provide more time for review and discussion on Monday, October 20th at 6:15 at UES.

UHS Auditorium

Rainfall is causing excessive noise in the auditorium.  The Building and Maintenance department  is now in fact-finding mode as they determine the root cause and remediation options.
